“Today, youth only wants one thing: freedom. We all need freedom, even refugees, who live in this hostile environment.”
In South-West Algeria, thousands of people live in camps. They’re Sahrawi refugees. They have been waiting for 40 years for a resolution of the conflict about Western Sahara.
Aichata Udu, 24, is one of them.
“I don’t want the same life as my parents. All of us, young Sahrawis, want a different life.”
“We hope that this year, the 40-year anniversary, a solution will be found.”
“I don’t really care about my own future, I only want my country to be free, my brothers and sisters to be free.”
